Editorial Board


Padma Bhushan-Prof. Yash Pal a distinguished Space Scientist, India Space Research Organization, former Chairman UGC, Secretary, Dept. of Science & Technology, has been a visiting professor at a number of International Universities.  He was Secretary General, UN Conference for Outer Space.  Recipient of a large number of National & International awards including Marconi Internationals Fellowship Award, Prof. Yash Pal is presently the National Research Professor. He was conferred India’s national award – Padma Bhushan – in recognition of his meritorious services.

 

Shri. R. N. Agarwal is the former Wireless Adviser to the Govt. of India, Ministry of Communications & IT.  He was also a Member of the Radio Regulation Board of the International Telecommunications Union (ITU), Geneva for eight years and has been elected as the President of the Board twice during this period. Widely traveled, he is an international expert in the field of RF spectrum management & radio regulatory processes.

 

Prof. K. K. Aggarwal is former Vice Chancellor, GGS Indra Prastha University, Delhi and also Past President of Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE), India as well as President of the Computer Society of India (CSI). He has been the Director of Centre of Excellence for Manpower Development in the Ministry of HRD. Widely traveled, Prof. Aggarwal has authored a number of books and articles on various subjects. He has also been elected as Vice President of South East Asia Regional Computer Confederation (SEACC) for 2008-2009 and President-Elect for the year 2009-10.

Prof. R. K. Arora is currently Professor Emeritus, Computer Science & Engineering, at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi.  He was also the Chairman of the Examination Board of DOEACC, member of its Governing council, and former President of Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) India.  He has authored a number of research publications both at National & International levels.

Dr M. G. Chandrasekhar. A renowned space scientist, Dr Chandrasekhar is the Chairman of Space communications Committee and the Satellite Communication Symposium of International Astronautical Federation (IAF). He is the Distinguished Fellow of Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) India and Fellow/ Member of a number of leading national and international institutes including IAA, Paris and COSPAR, Paris. He is Chairman, of Devas Multimedia Pvt. Ltd USA and India and Advanced Space Technology and Services Pvt Ltd, USA, Europe & India.  He was formerly Scientific Secretary, Dept. of Space. Recipient of a number of prestigious awards, he has authored a number of publications.

 

Shri Kiran Karnik is former President of NASSCOM (National Association of Software and Services Companies), India. An alumnus of Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahemedabad, he has started his career with Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), Deptt. of Space, Govt. of India. He has an extremely successful career in the field of IT and multi-media. etc. He was the first Director of the Consortium for Educational Communication (CEC). He has worked with UN as the Secretary General of UNISPACE - 82. He has carried out consulting assignment for UNESCO, WHO, World Bank, UN Institute for Disarmament Research and Ford Foundation. He was Managing Director of Discovery communications India.  He has been involved with many committees of the Government of India, including the Prasar Bharati Review Committee. He has authored/ edited a large number of publications, and lectures occasionally at major national institutes.

 

Shri K. M. Paul is the former Engineer-in-Chief and Acting Director General, AIR. He served ITU-R Study Group on Broadcasting as its Vice-Chairman for two terms; EBU as Member of DAB Specialists’ Group; APT as its Mission Expert and ABU in implementing its various Projects. Dr. Paul obtained his Bachelor’s and Master's degree in Electronics and Telecom.Engg, from Jadavpur University, Kolkata in 1967 and 1969 respectively. He is the PAC-Member of DST; Life Member of ICA and life Fellow of India’s Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) & Broadcasting Engineering Society (BES).

Shri K. Narayanan, 'Padamshree' is the Executive Vice President of ASC Enterprises Ltd., India.  He was Director SAT-COM project Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), was associated with every aspect of INSAT programme.  He also served as an expert consultant to ITU & United Nations Outer Space office. He was conferred India’s national award – Padamshree – in recognition of his meritorious services.

Shri P. K. Garg was the Wireless Adviser to the Govt. of India, Ministry of Communications & IT during 2002 - 2008. During his period, there was a stupendous growth of mobile telephony subscribers in India – from 5 Million to 250 Million. He is currently a Member of the Radio Regulation Board of the International Telecommunications Union (ITU), Geneva. He has been participating in various important conferences and meetings of ITU, APT, INTELSAT, etc. since 1980. He is an international expert in the field of RF spectrum management, Radio regulatory processes and international satellite coordination.
